There are many kinds of bums. All bums are not created equal. A bum is someone who wants something for nothing, A bum is someone who defined as worthless, despicable and who lives dissolute.
If you have been called a bum it may hurt, but you can only be hurt for so long until you have to find out why you are hurt. I have been called a bum by many people to my face. After a few times I had to finally define it.
You hear the word bum and immediately you think of the poor individual on the street laying there begging for change and you associate yourself with that image when someone calls you a bum but that may not be you.
There are classifications of bums. There is: the begging azz bum, the failure bum, the homeless bum and the common bum. Now we are going to explain each one of them.
Homeless bum: This is the individual who for one reason or another is down on their luck until they end up on the streets. Or they just did not want to participate in adult life, breaking free from the ferris wheel of life. Many call them undesirable, I call them admirable. I do not look at these people as bums and it is wrong to do that, I refer to them as unhoused people.
Begging azz bum: This type of bum sometimes works, or does not, but either way, they must freeload off of you and always asks for something.
Failure bum: A person who failed at everything they did although they may have worked very hard. They burn out or end up in a viscous cycle of failure and then they give up.
Common bum: This person is finding opportunities for a free ride and use minimal resources; they may try to live with family and not pay bills.
I been each and every kind of bum listed except for homeless. You may want to frown upon me but be thankful for me, I am one less person who will compete with you in the job or housing market.
Also, it irritates me when people called me a bum, because I am a combination of a common bum and failure bum, I have not been a begging azz bum in a long time.
